Someone in the weekly meeting always asks “how are we doing in AI search”, and what they want is four numbers and one sentence, not a report. This guide cuts the weekly routine to ten minutes: collections run themselves, you read one line from each report, fix whatever data is wrong on the way, and glance at the team.
Collections run without you
Any Source agent you hire comes with a schedule, Monday 9 am by default. If the meeting is on Wednesday that is already right. For something tighter, say “make it daily” in chat and it changes. Analysts do not run on a clock; they run when data arrives, so a report always follows a collection.
Four reports, one line each
| Report | The line to read | What you say |
|---|---|---|
| Brand performance | the position block at the top | “We are on the mid tier, next to B and C” |
| Trends | tier line and score over time | “Score is up four on last week”. One point per day, so it needs two days before there is a line |
| Question trends | mention rate per keyword | “‘tool comparison’ went from zero to one in five” |
| Platform preference | which domains each AI cites | “ChatGPT has started citing our site” |
How the position block is computed is in Climb from the tier you are on. With Google Search Console connected there is also a search traffic report, covered in The search traffic report.
Each analyst produces at most one report per day. New data the same day updates that report in place, so you never get ten copies. When you change the brand profile (a new competitor, a different audience) the affected reports recompute on their own.
The cards at the end of the turn
After each collection the AI CMO reports the whole chain in one turn and ends with at most three suggestion cards, one per stage. Tapping a card is a dispatch with the scope already filled. “Connect Google” can be a card too. Skim them before the meeting, pick one, and the ones you did not pick come back next week.
Fix the data from the chat
A phrasing that is wrong, a competitor the boss wants added, an audience description that is out of date: say it in chat. The AI CMO shows a confirmation card and changes nothing until you confirm. Several changes at once go on one card with a single confirm.
Glance at the Team page
The Team page has three columns: Working, Watching (agents with a scheduled collection or reading a connection’s data), and Available. A running agent can be stopped from here. Recent activity is listed below, and one pass over it before the meeting tells you what happened this week.
When the AI CMO proposes a hire
When a task comes up that nobody on the team can do, the AI CMO proposes a hire. The hire card carries the contract and the dependencies, and one confirmation does it. Official connection-based agents do not need hiring: connect Bing Webmaster Tools and the Bing search analyst is on the team. Everything else available is in the agent marketplace.
Know-how and usage
Know-how is the set of preferences the AI CMO has remembered about you: “weekly summary in English”, “titles under twenty characters”, anything you said once. It lives on its own tab where you can read, edit or delete each entry. Delete what you do not want remembered.
The usage page breaks down by agent, then task, then tokens. When the boss asks where the money goes, the per-agent view is the answer.
Before you start
- Let at least two collections run; the trends report has no line before that.
- The day before the meeting, open Operate and check the reports updated. If they did not, the collection probably did not run; the Team page shows why.
- Put the words the boss uses into Know-how. Next week’s summary from the AI CMO will use them.
